Passing the CLC exam

Last week I received the incredible news that I passed the Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) exam. What a huge relief and truly glorious moment. Ever since I began the CLC training, my passion and fascination with the science of breastfeeding was reignited. As a young mom with a new baby, La Leche League was a very important part of my life and gifted me with confidence as a mom, information about feeding my baby, and a few life long friends. Fast forward 20 years and I am a student learning more about the science, the powerfulness of skin-to-skin contact between baby and parent, and how I can support the promotion of successful breastfeeding. Encouraging mommies in all aspects of raising healthy and happy babies is my what I want to do each day. Passing the CLC exam was a big step.
