About Becky
I was inspired to shift my professional focus to providing Postpartum Doula and Lactation Counseling support to families. Mother of three young adults, I recall the incredible comfort I felt with a birth doula. I also feel eternally grateful for the gentle guidance I received from La Leche League as a new mom, where I met lifelong mommy friends.
Parenting can be glorious and wonderful, but it can also be difficult, tiring, and fraught with mixed emotions. I am eager to nurture and assist new parents and their families. I hope to validate all your feelings while helping you find ways to rest, bond, adapt, and flourish with your baby.
With a mental health background, I received an M.A. from Boston College in Counseling Psychology. After working as a mental health therapist for 12 years, I chose to refocus my passion to supporting parents and train as a postpartum doula. I am an advocate for early intervention, believing strongly that those early months and years of life are incredibly formative and special.
As a Lower Cape resident for 18 years, I am well-connected to local resources and organizations that provide services to families with newborns. I am a Certified Lactation Counselor, an Advanced Lactation Consultant, and certified as a Postpartum Doula through DONA as well as certified in Perinatal Mental Health.
In my free “empty nesting” time, I enjoy yoga, walks in the woods with our dogs, watching the Celtics and Red Sox, and most especially, time with my husband and visiting our kids.
